The June Minister Schedule has been posted at: http://stkdrexel.org/schedule/minister/.

In June, there are some positions that are not filled or have people serving more frequently. This is due to lack of ministers available this month. When you arrive for Mass please let the sacristan or Deacon John know that you are available if needed. Thank you to those who are taking extra turns.

Also, if you know someone that might be interested in serving please have them contact the appropriate coordinator for more information.

Paz y Bienestar Padre David

From the Pastors Desk – Pentecost Sunday

This Sunday we conclude our fifty day celebration of Easter and, in the Church, are reminded of the power of this day of Pentecost through its readings. It seems so long ago to me when we began our journey of lent and received the ashes on our foreheads in the sign of the cross.

The whole pilgrimage from Lent until now has been a time of learning once again, of Gods plan and invitation to us. We are called today to participate in the power of the Holy Spirit and to know that it is through that power that the Church takes up its mission. Today, before all days, the Church invites us to deepen our faith in the Savior’s gift of his own Spirit.

We are renewed at all times by the Holy Spirit and are called to rejoice in the presence of the Holy Spirit among us, for he brings us abundant new life in the midst of our challenges and tragedies. Let us give thanks and praise to God for all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Peace and All Good Fr David
