Results of a recent Archdiocesan survey show Catholics thirst for spirituality and knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic Faith. Jr. High Youth Rally / Jovenes de la Jr. High Rally

All junior high youth (grades 6-8) are invited to join us as we attend the annual Junior High Rally on February 18, 2012 at St. Thomas More Parish from 10:30am-9pm. Forms are in the parish office. Cost is $40 regular registration due to the office by this Thursday, January 20th or $50 late registration due by Friday, January 27th. Late registration does not guarantee a spot as the rally is starting to fill up. A ride will be provided for the first 3 youth who sign up as that is how many seats are still available in my car. The junior high rally is a day of fun, games, workshops, meals, and Mass that allows the young people a chance to meet and see that they are part of the much larger Body of Christ. Todos los jóvenes de secundaria (grados 6-8) están invitados a unirse a nosotros al asistir a la manifestación anual de Secundaria en Febrero 18, 2012 en la Parroquia Santo Tomás Moro, de 10:30 am a 9:00pm. Los formularios están en la oficina parroquial. El costo es de $ 40 de inscripción regular en la oficina este Jueves, 20 de enero o $ 50 de inscripción tardía para el viernes, 27 de enero. La inscripción tardía no garantiza un lugar en el rally ya que está empezando a llenarse. Un viaje se le dará a los primeros tres jóvenes que se inscriban ya que es de los puestos que aún están disponibles en mi coche. La manifestación secundaria es un día de diversión, juegos, talleres, comidas, y la Misa que permite a los jóvenes la oportunidad de conocer y ver que son parte del cuerpo más grande de Cristo. On behalf of the Catholic Daughters and Toys for Tots, THANK-YOU! With CDA’s 3rd year partnership with Toys’ For Tots, the generous donation of toys from the KC’s Christmas Wish Toy Project, local banks donation boxes, Cochran’s Store, CDA Members, and monetary donations from Altar Society and Church Members, along with assistance of friends and family, we were able to help parents provide a Christmas for 290 children PLUS fill requests for food and children’s shoes. Thank-you for helping us in our efforts to extend a helping hand to those in our Community. May the Blessings of the Christ Child be with each of you and your family throughout the New Year.

Formación de Fe para Adulto

El grupo de Formación de Fe para Adulto le invita a comenzar el 2012 con una Fe renovada atendiendo a seis semanas de clases de video del CATOLICISMO. Habrá dos diferentes fechas y horarios que esperamos que se ajuste a sus necesidades. Adult Faith Formation invites you to start 2012 with a renewed faith by attending a six week video class on CATHOLICISM. There will be two different dates and times that will hopefully meet your needs. The Thursday class will begin On January 26th at 7:00pm and the Sunday classes will begin on January 29 at 10:30 am.
