Altar Servers

The Eucharist is the very center or core of our Catholic Christian life. Altar servers play an important role at its’ celebration and thus play a very important role in the life of the parish community. Not only do they assist the priest and the deacons at Mass, they also make the celebration more solemn and their ministry contributes to a more prayerful atmosphere at Mass. By their ministry they serve God in a unique and special way.

Through their service altar servers have the opportunity to grow personally and spiritually. Service at the altar will also allow altar servers to meet other young Catholics and grow in their knowledge of prayer and worship.

To become an altar server youth must have made their first communion. In addition they should regularly participate in at Mass on Saturday afternoon or on Sunday and receive Holy Communion. They must attend mandatory training with Fr. David.

To find out more information on this important ministry please ask to speak with Fr. David.
