Ivan Botello

Ivan is committed to service to the Church. He promotes Gospel values and growth in holiness. He has received his degree from the Spiritual Direction Institute and is available to all parishioners for Spiritual Direction counseling. He collaborates closely with the pastor and other members of the parish staff. He represents the pastor to the Hempstead Ministerial Alliance, assists with Liturgy of the Word celebrations when needed and is on call 24/7 to answer emergency phone calls for the parish.

Ivan is the parish representative for the Spanish speaking community. He works closely with groups such as Movimiento Familiar Cristiano and La Cocina de Catarina. He is active with this community during the annual parish Bazaar including organizing volunteers, collecting funds as needed and motivating the community to participate. He provides translations for the Spanish community.

Ivan coordinates adult leaders for the Marriage preparation and Baptism preparation teams. This includes providing educational classes and scheduling the sacraments. He is also coordinator for the E.S.L. & S.S.L. program. He manages the parish social services program. Our House of Help provides needed food and supplies to the elderly and handicapped of our Hempstead community. We also provide monetary assistance to the community for needs such as electricity bills, gasoline and rent. Ivan coordinates the parish Samaritan Ministry program, providing pastoral care and visitations to the sick and the local nursing home.
