There will be a youth day of cleaning on Thursday July 15th from 10am-2pm to work on organizing the youth room. If we get enough volunteers we may also be able to clean out the sand volleyball court so it may be used this summer. This youth room is for the use of all JH and HS youth – come help make it a hipper place and be sure to bring your favorite appropriate posters to put on the walls. Pizza and drinks provided for all helpers!

Habrá un día para que la juventud vengan a limpiar será este Jueves, el 15 de Julio de 10am-2pm. Vamos a tratar de organizar el cuarto de los jóvenes. Si conseguimos suficientes voluntarios también podemos limpiar la pista de voleibol para que se pueda ser utilizado este verano. Este cuarto es para el uso de todo los jóvenes en grados 6 a 12 – necesitamos su ayuda para tener un lugar limpio y refresco. También pueden traer sus carteles favoritos y apropiados para poner en las paredes. ¡Pizza y bebidas para todos los ayudantes!

Movie Nights are for HS & JH youth and begin at 7pm. Movies will be viewable by everyone! There is no cost but bring your favorite snack to share! All movie nights unless otherwise stated are in the youth room!

Spider-Man 3 is rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence. There are a few bad words, but far less than most PG-13 films, and the comic-book violence is intense but there’s little blood or gore.

The Blind Side is rated PG-13 for one scene involving brief violence, drug and sexual references. While these are issues that would normally concern for parents, they are uniformly presented as negative attributes within the film and never glorified. The one instance of fisticuffs—which coincides with the drug and alcohol use—occurs when local gangsters try to pull Michael back into his old street life. Language, considered so minor that the MPAA doesn’t even feel the need to mention it, is extremely rare and is greeted with a stern reprimand. The context of the sexual reference is in something Leigh Anne says she will do to a certain anatomical area should Michael decide to have sex outside of wedlock!

We need to start planning for the Region 10 Youth Conference Nov. 12-14, 2010 in Little Rock, Arkansas. All those interested in going, please come to our planning meeting on Wed. July 7th at 7pm in youth room. We will be discussing fund raising and what conference is about!

This is for HS students’ only (incoming 9th –12th graders) at Times Square in Katy from 11pm-2pm. Please sign up to let us know you’ll be there and to let us know if you need a ride. Cost $14 which includes shoes and unlimited bowling. If no one signs up by July 14th, then the activity will be cancelled. Don’t forget to call the office.

JH “Back to School Week” is August 2– 5, 2010 from 7 to 10 pm each night. Open to all Jr High Students. Registration is scheduled after all masses:
