Due to lack of interest and no registrations turned in, the Jr. High Back to School Week scheduled for the week of August 2nd will be cancelled. However, the youth ministry has started taking registrations for a Freshman Survival one day retreat here on the parish grounds on August 14th. Please see the youth news section in this weekend’s bulletin for more information on this retreat and other upcoming events.

Semana Jr Alto Volver a la Escuela Cancelado

Desde no tenimos interés y ningunas matrículas eran cumplidos, la semana por los jóvenes en Jr. High planeado para esta semana será cancelado. Pero, el ministerio de juventud ha comenzado tomando registracíons para una Retiro de Supervivencia para los estudiantes entrando en el grado 9. Este retiro es un día, el 14 de Agosto aquí en la parroquia y es gratis. Vea por favor la sección de noticias de los jovenes en el boletín este fin de semana para más información en esta retirada y otros acontecimientos próximos.

All HS youth (incoming 9th –12th graders) and young adults are invited to join us for Glow Bowling at Times Square in Katy on Friday, July 16th from 11pm-2am. The cost is $15 for shoes and unlimited bowling. Call Bridget so she can get a head count to try and reserve enough lanes and if you need a ride. We had such a blast last month!

Todos los jóvenes en high school (grados 9 a 12) y jóvenes adultos son invitados a jugar boliche con nosotros en Katy, TX el Viernes, 16 de Julio desde 11pm-2am. El costo es $15 para zapatos y jugando sin límites. Llame a Bridget si quieres ir y para que tenga una cuenta de personas para reservar suficientes liñas y si necesitas que te lleven. ¡Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso el mes pasado!

Cost is $4 for quad skates and $6 for inline skates and you may want to bring a little extra for snacks. El costo es $4 para patines regulares y $6 para patines de inline y debes traer un poco extra para bocados si quieres. Movie Nights — for HS & JH youth. All movies will be viewable by all! No cost but bring your favorite snack to share! All movie nights unless otherwise stated in youth room!

If you or anyone you know (or a parish organization you are involved in) would like to volunteer for one of these dates please call Bridget Landin at (979)826-2275. This is a great way to help in youth ministry without making a huge commitment.

Our February service project will begin with the Souper Bowl of caring the weekend of February 6th & 7th. All money collected at Souper Bowl of Caring at SKD will be combined with the service project the upper-class grades are leading in helping victims of natural disasters such as in Haiti. It would be awesome if we surpassed last years collected $663.70. We will be collecting money after all masses on Saturday, Feb. 6th and Sunday, Feb. 7th.

This week we will have our youth socials. The Jr. High social will be on Monday, Jan. 18th and the High School social on Wednesday, Jan. 20th. Both socials will be in the A-bldg beginning at 6pm. Come and come early for some good food and to hang with your peeps. Come too late and the food may be all gone. C ya! We are still looking for help preparing food for the rest of our socials from Jan. thru May.
